Tawfeek is a technical textiles and composites specialist with over 17 years of experience working across manufacturing, product development, and business development. His expertise spans textile finishing, lamination, printing, and chemical treatment processes for woven and non-woven fabrics, helping manufacturers transform innovative ideas into commercially successful products.

As the founder of Maritextiles, Tawfeek is passionate about building strong partnerships between manufacturers, suppliers, and markets across North America and beyond. He believes that successful collaboration begins with understanding each client's unique challenges and opportunities, allowing him to provide practical solutions that bridge technical expertise with business growth.

Outside of work, Tawfeek enjoys music, nature, and exploring opportunities that connect people, industries, and cultures through innovation and meaningful partnerships.

Mehak Ali- Textile Quality Assurance & Product Development Specialist

Mehak is a textile engineer and fashion design professional with over 13 years of textile industry experience, working closely with mills and brands across the full production cycle. She has developed strong expertise in color accuracy, fabric performance evaluation, and production troubleshooting, ensuring materials meet both technical standards and customer expectations.

At Maritextiles, she contributes to technical evaluation, supplier assessment, and product development initiatives, supporting partners in improving consistency, reliability, and overall material performance.

Khaldon Yosouf is a textile specialist, lecturer, and researcher with extensive experience in both academic and applied textile engineering. His core expertise covers technical textiles, fabric analysis, weaving technology, garment construction, and the integration of emerging technologies such as 3D printing into textile applications.


He holds a PhD in Textile Engineering from the University of Haute-Alsace, France, and possesses strong experience in research methodology, data analysis, and supervising production and development projects. He has also contributed to marketing-related and applied industrial initiatives, effectively bridging academic knowledge with practical implementation.


At Maritextiles, Khaldon Yosouf strengthens the team as a Technical Consultant, supporting research, innovation, and product development — serving as a direct link between academic expertise and real-world industry applications.

Dr. Ghandi Ahmad – Assistant Professor of Textile Engineering & AI Research Specialist

  

Dr. Ghandi Ahmad is a textile engineer and academic specializing in the integration of artificial intelligence with spinning technology. He holds a PhD in Spinning Technology from Damascus University, where he also serves as a faculty member in the Department of Textile Industries.

Spinning Technology, Yarn Quality Evaluation, Cotton Processing, Digital Image Processing, Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic Systems, Machine Learning Applications in Textiles

Dr. Ahmad’s research focuses on applying advanced computational methods such as digital image processing, neural networks, and fuzzy logic systems to evaluate cotton yarn quality, detect spinning defects, and predict yarn strength. His work has been published in leading international journals, including The Journal of The Textile Institute (Taylor & Francis).

He combines strong academic expertise with hands-on industrial engineering experience and is skilled in Python, MATLAB, data analysis, and machine learning. His work is driven by a strong interest in bridging advanced research with real-world textile manufacturing challenges.


At Maritextiles, Dr. Ghandi Ahmad is part of the marketing and sales team, where he provides technical guidance and consultation, supporting client communication, product positioning, and technical problem-solving. He plays a key role in bridging advanced textile engineering knowledge with practical commercial applications and customer needs.
